Headquartered in Arbuckle, California, the privately owned grain corporation began servicing the industry in the 1920s when its primary business was managing malt barley trade between Sacramento Valley farmers and San Francisco Bay Area exporters. Today, Adams Grain Company merchandises and warehouses wheat, corn, safflower and various other grains through its facilities located throughout the Sacramento Valley. The company's Woodland facility, located 20 miles northwest of Sacramento, is home to its state-of-the-art seed plant, where wheat and safflower processing takes place. Adams Grain also serves as a distributor of corn, milo, soybean and cotton seed for other high-quality seed companies.
